Delivery and Installation

Before Ordering

Before ordering, please make the following checks -

  • Check sculpture dimensions fit the space chosen

  • Check sculpture will fit through the narrowest access point - height and width (NB - some of our sculptures are a 4 person lift - therefore please consider not only the width of the sculpture, but also the space and safety of the personnel involved)

  • Please note that our sculptures are only suitable for mounting in solid ground and are not suitable for podium landscapes where a solid concrete base cannot be achieved

  • Our sculptures are not designed to be retrofitted to existing surfaces (such as patio slabs) and must always be installed using the base and specification supplied

  • Check that no underground services will prevent the safe creation of the hole in which the footings will need to be poured (e.g. utilities, IC chambers)

  • Check that there are no underground obstructions which would prevent base installation such as, wall/ house footings, tree roots etc.

  • Check the substructure on which the foundation will sit is not affected by a weight restriction

Phase 1 | Base Installation

To make it as easy as possible for you, we supply our sculptures in two parts; each of our sculptures is supplied with a separate steel base that will be dispatched to you prior to the delivery of your sculpture itself.

Why do we supply our sculpture in two parts?

  • You/your contractor installs the base and foundation as part of the construction phase, as and when it fits your schedule on site, avoiding delays and unnecessary costs to you

  • The sculpture is then delivered and positioned onto the pre-installed base by our team after the major construction work has been completed to avoid accidental damage during the build

Once we have received your payment, we will dispatch the relevant base (in most cases, the base will be dispatched on a pallet to your chosen location) and installation guide for you/your contractor to install. You/your contractor will be responsible for installing the base - digging the relevant sized hole and setting the base securely within a cast concrete foundation at least 7 days prior to the arrival of your sculpture (dimensions of the base and concrete foundation vary depending on the sculpture - see installation guide supplied with each sculpture).

Phase 2 | Sculpture Delivery and Placement

We take our responsibility to ensure safety very seriously - our team are equipped with the tools and knowledge to carefully deliver your sculpture to site and also secure it to the base that you/your contractor has already installed.

Before placing your order, it is key that you understand our terms and conditions in addition to your responsibilities to ensure that conditions are suitable ahead of delivery.

We can only attach a sculpture to a base that we have supplied when it has been installed to our specification.

Please provide us with any relevant information that we need to be made aware of prior to delivery e.g. parking restrictions, access considerations (e.g. steps, uneven ground, obstructions etc.). Clear and safe access will be required for our delivery vehicle, any obstructions such as parked vehicles may result in re-delivery. It is at the delivery driver’s discretion as to whether conditions are deemed to be safe and suitable for the delivery and positioning to be completed.
